Step 1: Checking the availability of a corporate name

Step 2: Name Reservation
1. You may call our Corporations Call Center at (334) 242-5324.
2. Download a name reservation request form and fax it to (334) 240-3138. Click here to download.
Step 3: Draft an Article

Your corporate name must include the word "Corporation" or "Incorporated" or an abbreviation of one of these words ("Inc." or "Corp.").
Step 4: Filing your Drafted Article of Incorporation
Filing Fee
Secretary of State: $40.00
Minimum Probate Judge fee: $35.00
File the original and two copies of the Articles of Incorporation and the Certificate of Name Reservation in the county where the corporation's registered office is located.
